tution income by housewife under professional head or other source

my wife teach small childrens home tution. So, his income we can show income from other sources (itr 1 or 2) or treated as professional income?
my wife is just 10+2 pass out not any professional degree holder. and also earn some by stitching of clothes or sarees.
please suggest.

if I do not want to keep books of accounts, then I can file itr_1 or 2

You should show income from tuition and stiching of cloth and sarees on presumptive basis u/s 44AD i.e. declaring 8% net profit on estimated gross receipts from tuition and stiching of clothes etc. There will be no requirement of books of account. You should show the same under income from business/profession head and accordingly file ITR-4.
