This discussion clarifies the turnover limits for Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) audits and tax filing. For LLPs with turnover exceeding ₹40 lakh or contribution above ₹25 lakh, a tax audit is required, and the Income Tax Return (ITR) is due by 30th September. For companies with turnover below ₹1 crore, a tax audit (filing 3CA) is generally not mandatory, although maintaining books of account with a statutory audit is still required under the LLP Act 2008. The ₹1 crore/₹10 crore turnover limit mentioned relates to Section 44AB of the Income Tax Act for tax audit applicability.
