Treatment of complimentary services to client in accounts

This query is : Resolved

03 December 2008 We are service provider. During the course we provide some services to clients F.O.C (complimentary).
How we treat the same in accounts. Whether we should books the services and then write off the debtors.
Or
Directly booked the same as expense in business promotion

03 December 2008 There in meaning to post notional amount in your books.

In my opinion, you donn't require to post any amount for free services.
