21 September 2013 DEAR ALL,

Transporter gives a separate invoice for entry/goods tax paid by them on behalf of us. Whether we liable to pay Service tax on this amount or not.

PLS CLARIFY ME.

21 September 2013 Th amount of entry tax on goods or goods tax or octroi paid by the transporter on behalf of the recipient of service is not a part of taxable service. No service tax is payable. If the transporter is charging extra on account of facility of payment of taxes then on such amount service tax is payable
