As per rule 7C of service tax rules 1994,the following late fees shall be charaged.
a Delay of fifteen days from the due date : 500/-
b.Delay beyond fifteen days but not exceeding thirty days : 1000/-
c.Delay beyond thirty days : 1000/- + 100/-every day from the thirty day till the return is furnished.
Provided that the above late fees must not be more than 2000/-.
