Hello sir. I want to know the total monthly salary of a sbi PO. I read it's prospectus but it seems to be too high. Also i want to know, what will be the total monthly salary after 5 years.

yes...salaries are now high after sixth pay commission. What your salary will be after 5 years is guess game. it shall depend on your performance (first two years are on probation, so its an long road for 5 years), promotions, revision of pay-scales etc will be determining factors.

Thanks sir. I was actually comparing CA and a sbi po job and i find that aggregate salary of bank po is around 70,000 pm. which is far more than a CA eventhough becoming a CA requires much efforts and studies as compared to PO. why this is so?

well Bank PO are getting higher salary only after sixth pay commission hike...CAs are suffering because of no standard salary norms and over supply due to good results in past 5-6 attempts.

But don't you think this is unfair to CA and other professionals working in private sector. Can you through some light on it, why this is so?

What i actually wants to say is after reading so much heavy books, dedicating 5 years to the course, what we get is quite less than govt emloyee. While i could have easily become po in govt bank in 6 months of studies and getting a handsome salary with an advantage of being govt employee. May be i am wrong but i need your arguments to make it clear. Thanks
