Can I Check my service tax payment through online, where i have lost my challan which is deposited through cash.

1. **Visit the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) website:**

2. **Navigate to the Service Tax Payment section:**
Since service tax is now subsumed under GST, older service tax payments are maintained in the past records. You can check payment details via the **Payment Status Inquiry** facility available on the website.

3. **Use the TRACES or NSDL portal for challan details:**
For service tax payments made through cash challan, you may also try accessing the **TIN NSDL** website — [https://www.tin-nsdl.com/](https://www.tin-nsdl.com/), which keeps a record of indirect tax payments including service tax.

4. **Required Details:**
To search the challan online, you’ll typically need the following details:

* PAN of the assessee
* Date or period of payment
