whats is the criteria for registration for VAT AND TIN NO.

Registration under VAT to get the TIN number is based on the following:
1) Based on the turnover
2) Based on the type of person (casual trader, dealer in gold , non resident dealer, purchaser from interstate -irrespective of his turnover he has to register)
3) Manufacturer or Trader - turnover limit is applicable in some states.
