hello friends,
Can some body tell me what is time limit for issue of tds certificate in case of salaried employee when HE/SHE LEAVE COMPANY DURING THE YEAR.
Whether it is same like a employee work whole year or it is different??

Generly one month form end of year, if employee left company issue TDS certificate when TDS return submited. its a moral reposbility to pay respect of Ex Employee. its a guideline to next Employee when you will left your company in future.

Section 192,203 and rule 31 does not cover the referred situation. So ,as per my understanding, the certificate can be issued with in one month from the end of the financial year concerned.

Rs. 100/- per day during which the failure continues subject to a maximum of the tax deducted at source. Please refer section 272A (2)(g) of the IT Act,1961.

Rule 31(3) of the Income tax Rules 1962 says 31st May of the next year is the cut off date.
