I need threshold limit for applicability of Service Tax from F. Y. 2000-2001 to 2007-2008.

Rs. 10 Lacs –Notification No 8/2008 ST dated 01/03/2008 till date
Rs. 8 Lacs - Notification No 4/2007 ST dated 01/03/2007 upto 28/02/2008
Rs. 4 Lacs –Notification No 6/2005 ST dated 01/03/2005 upto 28/02/2007
Prior to 2005 there was no exemption limit specified
You need to seek clarification on the service category as service tax is payable for a category from the date of it effectiveness.
Rs. 8 Lacs - Notification No 4/2007 ST dated 01/03/2007 upto 28/02/2008
Rs. 4 Lacs –Notification No 6/2005 ST dated 01/03/2005 upto 28/02/2007
