Please clarify whether we have to deduct TDS U/s 194IB for the month of April and May 2017 also since the Section is introduce from June 2017.

Kindly share your professional views.

08 March 2018 As per section 194 IB, tds is to be deducted on such income on the last month of the previous year or the last month of tenancy if the property is vacated during the year.

Thanks for your reply.
But my question was whether rent paid for the month of April and May 2017 would be levy to Tax U/s 194IB. Though sec was introduce from 1st June. When to deduct that this section clearly states that i too understand. My doubt however was for specific regarding those two month rent.
