The transaction is to design, manufacture supply of porta cabins as per the cliets specification Rs.80576/-

there is no specific conclusion on this type of assigments and it is advisable to deduct tax if designs as per our specification.

If material is not purchased from the awarder, no need to deduct tax u/s 194C since the job entrusted will not come under the definition of 'work' given in the said section. The law is unabiguously clear by virtue of the substituted section ,194C,effective from 1/10/2009.
