TDS form 26Q for march-2024 got rejected with massage : Line No 2 - Duplicate Statement
Please help somebody .

15 August 2025 The error “Line No 2 – Duplicate Statement” means a regular TDS return for Form 26Q (same TAN, FY, quarter) was already accepted by the system. The TDS portal does not allow filing more than one regular statement for the same period.

What to do next:
Verify if a regular return was already filed by checking your submission history or TRACES.
If yes, and you're making corrections, file a 'Correction Statement (Y return)' using the correct format and token numbers.

If you're filing for the first time and still receiving the error:
Submit a grievance via the e-filing portal using your TAN.
Write to tin_returns@nsdl.co.in explaining that no prior filing was made, and request acknowledgment and resolution. Community members have successfully followed this approach.
