if there is no contract then no tds but if there is contract and exceeds rs 30,000 then tds u/s 194C is applicable.

Sai if the payment maid to the contractor crosses Rs. 30000/- in a single payment or Rs. 75000/- annually then TDS will b applicable u/s 194C...
