Dear All,
I would like to know whether TAN registration for an entity with its registered office at one place but place of business in another need to:
(i) register at the place of registered office alone and is valid for deductions made at place of business,
(ii) register at the place of business alone as there is no business activity at place of registration or
(iii) Register at both places of registered office and business.
Kindly reply at you earliest.

First option is correct.

In case of multiple DDOs : all Division; name and location of branch or the designation of the person responsible for deducting/collecting tax, whichever is applicable, should be clearly given in the application for allotment of TAN.
