09 December 2008 Suppose if i am deducting tds of one of my employee on 4th of December on his salary. My question is that: Am i obliged to pay his amount of tds while making payment for the month of November ? Or i will have to pay it when i pay for the month of December. If the answer is November, then what if i pay my employee on 8th of next month (7th being the last day of payment of TDS)... ???

15 December 2008 For November the Tax at Source has been deducted on 4th December, 2008 which may be deposited by 7th of January. This will remain the same even if TDS is deducted on 8th of December.
