Suppose if i am deducting tds of one of my employee on 4th of December on his salary. My question is that: Am i obliged to pay his amount of tds while making payment for the month of November ? Or i will have to pay it when i pay for the month of December. If the answer is November, then what if i pay my employee on 8th of next month (7th being the last day of payment of TDS)... ???

Tax deducted on 4th december should be remitted to govt.a/c between 1st to 7th january.

What if i do not submit it within 1st to 7th... Will i have to pay interest for the amount while paying tds for the month of december 08.Please illustrate your answer and also if possible help me out as where can i find this illustration in ready reckoner or any other book...

For November the Tax at Source has been deducted on 4th December, 2008 which may be deposited by 7th of January. This will remain the same even if TDS is deducted on 8th of December.
