TDS on VAT!!

09 June 2010 Can there be a case where VAT and TDS both applicable in a bill?
If yes whether TDS has to be deducted on the gross amount (i.e. including VAT amount specified in the bill)

09 June 2010 TDS not deductible if the supplier manufactures or supplies a product according to the requirement or specification of a customer by using material purchased from a person, other than such customer.

So in the above case TDS will not be leviable.

If in any case if at all TDS is deductible then it will be deducted on VAT also.
