Plz explain TDS on transporter in a manufacturing unit???

plz refers any provision/sec. as per Income tax act.

13 January 2012 Dear Anu,

There is no such specific provision for TDS on transporter in a manufacturing unit.

In case you pay any sum to a transporter then you dont need to deduct TDS in case the transporter provides his PAN details. In case he dont have PAN then TDS should be deducted @20 %.
