Tds on salary

If salary of employee is more than basic exemption limit, it is compulsory to deduct tds. status of employer is not relevant.

If Salary crosses the slab mentioned by IT then it is compulsory, otherwise not.

in absence of PAN, tds is to be deducted on the salary paid regardless whether the same is above or below the exempted limit.
