Tds on salary

07 January 2013 I had a colleague working with me who was earning 35k. She said she would make an investment and could never make and left. Her TDS was deducted so far as per her tax computation which was Rs. 120 (TDS). She resigned the job. what do I do?

You need not to worry much about her as she would have already found a new job with a better colleague than you.

She was earning Rs. 35K per month or p.a.?
.
Had she been paid her last Salary or not ?
.
Try to contact her by telling her to collect Rs.12000/- TDS Certificate (not to be told of Rs.120/-) or Form 16.
.
Inform the management also about the matter if proper TDS has not been deducted. They will take a decision and suitably advise you.

08 January 2013 I highly doubt. I am the best colleague she ever had. you need to be lucky enough to be my colleague.

- she was earninig 35k pm.
-she is paid her last salary
-option third would be childish. only child can be fooled.
Me as a part of management what would you suggest? proper TDS not deducting can attract penalty?
