Tds on rent

I have doubt taht, if builder has redevelopment project and he is paying compensation for rent to existing tennants, who are living on rental flats. And rent amount exeeding Rs.1,80,000/-, whether it is attract tds.

It will attract TDS if the payment made by develeoper exceeds 1.8 lakhs, as the payment made is in the nature
of rent only.
