TDS on Reimbursement of Medical Expenses of Decreased Employee of BSNL

09 March 2022 A friend of mine was deceased during the course of his employment with BSNL due to some health issues. After his death a reimbursement claim was approved by the BSNL. Now the query, whether there is any requirement of TDS from the disbursement, if so how much

09 March 2022 TDS not applicable in case of treatment taken in approved hospital like Apollo.
If TDS applicable it will be considered as salary and TDS deducted.
