I wish to know that whether any Income-tax is to be deducted on Income exempted u/s 10(26)?
Please give reference in support of your views.
It may be noted that it might be possible that person having income exempted u/s does not have any PAN card also.

1. Yes income tax will be deducted unless the a certificate u/s 197 for 0 tax is received from the deptt.
2. PAN is necessary, since the assessee u/s 10(26) has to file the return.
