TDS on Genset pu re-imbursement

13 April 2009 Hello Sir,

Our company has a leased premise. To avoid power cut, we are using common genset installed in our building common facility.

We pays to our owner per month on the basis of units consumed by us.

Does this re-imbursement attracts TDS ?

13 April 2009 Yes. In my opinion, it is in the nature of hire charges of rent although not fixed. This should be covered in the TDS provisions
