We have purchased machinery from one party.
This party has charged freight separately on purchase bill of machinery.
Whether we need to deduct TDS on this freight amount because this party is not a contractor and we have purchased machinery from it.
Kindly clarify.

TDS is not required to be deducted as it is part of the sale and even no TDS is dedcuted on payment to transporter if PAN is furnished.
