plz let me know rate of TDS on franchise fee .will tds be deducted on cost of study material also?

TDS to be deducted u/s 194J @10%.

you have to contract with the principal company you are collection the fee and give to principal . you have to deduct the tds @2% u/s 194C due to they are not charge the fee for technical consultancy.

Rupesh Ji franchise fees are in the nature of royalty and therefore should attract provision of Section 194J,
