28 August 2011 Kindly let me know whether a trader should deduct TDS of a coal supplier(Coal India Undertaking)on the e-auction charges paid by him for the transaction.

28 August 2011 he is purchasing the coal so its purchase , not expense, and TDS is deductbile on expense, not on purchase.

28 August 2011 But the e-auction exp is amount other than the amount of purchase paid by the purchaser and the exp. is recovered by the seller at the time of total payment.
