TDS on DHL Charges

pls. let me know the TDS rate on charges on Importing Material form Hongkong. v have already paid the custom Duty.

At the time of importing material,no TDS will be applicable.but for clearing and forwarding the cargo,services of CHA is taken and on that TDS as per contractor is to be deducted.

that charges is for DHL collecting & forwarding charges.

TDS rate is 2% when payment is made to Contactor other than Individual or HUF.
Education cess is not leviable w.e.f 01-10-2009.
In case some reimbursements are also claimed by the CHA like Custom Duty paid on your behalf etc. On these no TDS will be deducted provided in gives the sufficent documenatary evidence for the same.
