I want to cancel my TAN number which is no more use
please share the process is it online or offline process?

Online Process:
Visit the NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited) website:
Click on "Services" and select "TAN" from the drop-down menu.
Choose "Cancellation of TAN" and click on "Apply Online".
Fill in the required details, including your TAN, PAN (Permanent Account Number), and reason for cancellation.
Submit the application and take a printout of the acknowledgement.
You can also submit the printed form physically at the nearest TIN-FC.

I AM NOT ABLE TO FIND ON NSDL SITE KINDLY SEND ME THE LINK I HAVE APPROCHED TO THE TARCES HELP DESK AS WELL AS KARVY OFFICE THEY INFORMED ME THAT YOU HAVE TO FILE OFFLINE NOT ONLINE FOR CANCELLATION OF TAN/SURRENDER OF TAN NUMBER

You are correct, the online process is for surrender of duplicate TAN.
If you no longer require the designated TAN, you must send a written request to the Jurisdictional Authority (TDS) along with supporting documents to cancel the TAN, which is offline.
