14 November 2009 My friend is giving a rent of amount 20000/month. through cheque, on this amount tds will applicable.
I just want to know, can he avoid TDS liability by giving the cheque of rs 10000/ month from his a/c and other rs 10000 by cheque from his wife's a/c?
If there is any another way to avoid tds liability, pls suggest?
