Tds deductible on salary

an employee in my company has been recruited since feb-1 and his remuneration is RS 92,000 p.m ,should i deduct tds (his total payment in current yr comes to 1,84,000)

if the employee has not informed you of any other income earned prior to joining your company, you may not deduct any TDS on the income being paid by you.

It is not incumbent upon the new employer to ask for the details of income earned from previous employer

section 192(2) cast the responsibility on the employer only where employee has declared details of earlier income and not otherwise. Therefore it would be wrong to say that employer "needs" to ask for the salary slips
