26 July 2011 I AM WORKING IN A PVT LTD COMPANY NOW I RCD 16A FROM CPWD AND THE CERTIFICATE CONTAINS NO CHALLAN NUMBER BUT THEY ARE ENTERED ADJUSTED IN BOOK BUT IN OUR 26AS NOT SHOWN THE ENTRY HOW CAN I TAKE THE CREDIT BUT MOST TDS CERTIFICATE AMOUNT NOT SHOWN IN 26AS WHAT CAN I DO PL CLARIFY

26 July 2011 Govt department can be pay TDS by book adjustment but they need to file form 24G. so please check with them whether filed, otherwise your form 26AS will not match. you can take credit based on TDS certificate issued.
