01 November 2011 IS TDS Applicable On Transportation Charges for Agricultural Items??

If Yes then In which Section & @ what Rate????

01 November 2011 TDS on transpoters to be dedudcted u/s 194 C...however no TDS to be deductd if the tranpoter give you his PAN no.

08 November 2011 There is no condition as regards the goods transported.

U/s 40A(3) the limit for cash payment, which can be made to a transporter in a single day, is Rs.35000/
