31 March 2018 If a Resident Individual who is not liable for audit u/s 44 AB is paying rent of Rs. 50000 to two Non Resident Individual Land Lords (Joint holders receiving Rs.25000 each), whether TDS provisions will be attracted for the said transaction???

31 March 2018 No.. If the assessee is not under Tax Audit then no need to deduct TDS for the Rent paid

31 March 2018 Sir, while going through the provisions of Section 194IB and 195 I had a doubt whether the provisions of section 195 will attract in the above mentioned case. Hence the query.So please give me an opinion on whether the provisions of section 195 will get attracted in this case????

31 March 2018 194IB is not applicable because payee is non-resident ,but 195 attracts.
