13 July 2011 we are auditing in one company.this company issue the invoice in next month. means feb invoice issued in the month of march and payment received in the month of april.my query is that whether i booked a invoice for the month of feb and march in the current period or not and what about TDS and Service on this bill.

14 July 2011 ask them to issue invoice on the last date of month, this will resove the prob,

right now last date of month would be deemed billing date.

14 July 2011 You have to book all incomes and expenses of the year and if no provision has been made the same is to be booked on 31st March as you are preparing return and audit report up to 31st March. In case no provision has been made then it will be prior period in the next year.

Accordingly all provisions of TDS and service tax shall apply. Any default is to be reported in tax audit report.
