Can I claim Income tax benefit on housing loan taken from Individual from salary Income ?

Interest benefit can be taken u/s.24(b) even you are taking housing loan from Individual, provided that Individual giving the Interest certificate
But as per as Sec.80C concern Principal amount payment allowed only loan from bank/financial institutions & Approved Housing loan authorities
