A public Co. has declared Dividend.One of its Shareholder is an NRI Individual residing in Singapore. Whether any TDS is required to be deducted on payment of Dividend to this NRI Shareholder?

No TDS. Pl refer proviso to section 195(1) of The Income tax Act,1961.

Agree with the Expert. As the Dividend Distribution tax has been paid on the dividend, no further tax is to be deducted.
