11 June 2015 Dear all,

i am working in a contracting company. we give contract to our sub contractors. we will give the payment in sub contractor company name but they don't have company pan card. but they have proprietors pan card. my question is what is the TDS % for person 1% but the payment made on Company name so now how much % will be deductable 1% or 2%?

11 June 2015 The TDS is required to be deducted at the rate of 20% if the company is not providing you the PAN card..

11 June 2015 But sir my colleague said in a proprietorship company the pan card is same for the company and the proprietor.

11 June 2015 Dont use the word company then..Company is when the suffix in the name of the company is "pvt ltd" or "ltd"..HE is right TDS is deductible @1% in the case of individual.
