09 June 2009 sir pls tell me if we pay rental charges with service tax then on what amount we have to deduct tds and at what rate.

09 June 2009 Deduct TDS on rent amount only. In case of Rent, TDS need not be deducted on Service Tax.

If deductee is a Company 20% + SC + Cess
Otherwise 15% + SC + EC
