Hi, Pls tell is there any procedure of surrendering of TAN No. since I does not need it at all now.

Pl write a letter to the concerned TDS officer requesting to take action to deactivate the allotted TAN.

Yes, This is the only option available.

Board has not laid the procdure to surrender TAN/PAN. One may write to the jurisdictional TDS AO with copies to the Board, DIT(Systems) and NSDL to complete his/her papers to avoid any penalty, etc.
It is seen even after informing the TDS AO and others notices are being received from NSDL to file e-TDS returns. There is no clarity on the issue. The Board should spell procedure to surrender PAN & TAN.
