12 April 2009 What is last date tds filling for the year 08-09 pls clarify.

12 April 2009 For the FY 08-09, the last date for filing TDS Returns are 15/07/08, 15/10/08, 15/01/09 and 15/06/09 for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters respectively.

I saw in Ready reckoner tds return for the the A.Y 2009-10 Last Due Date 31/05/2009 plz Check & advise

27 July 2025 For **FY 2008-09** (Assessment Year 2009-10), the due dates for TDS return filing are as follows:

* **1st Quarter (April-June 2008):** 15th July 2008
* **2nd Quarter (July-September 2008):** 15th October 2008
* **3rd Quarter (October-December 2008):** 15th January 2009
* **4th Quarter (January-March 2009):** 15th June 2009

However, for the **final quarter return** (4th quarter), sometimes the department allowed the due date to be extended to **31st May 2009** for certain cases, especially for correction or revised returns.

So, the **normal due dates are as above**, but the Ready Reckoner or some notifications might mention **31st May 2009** as an extended deadline for certain filings related to FY 2008-09.

If you missed the due date, you may need to file with interest and late fees.
