26 July 2011 I am working in maruti dealership company.
Maruti is showing the amount of TDS deducted in its monthly statement while crediting the income in our account but the thing is we have to deposit the amount of TDS on our part and then claim this amount from maruti at the end of year which maruti credits this amount in our account after getting the TDS certificate.

My query is that why we have to deposit this TDS amount on our part. Why maruti is not doing this by itself.

26 July 2011 This might be the policy of the company and the company do not want to take the burden of non payment. If you have paid at least you are sure that the credit for the TDS will be availed by you. No can assure when the company shall deposit the TDS. It is better for you if the company is doing so. By doing this practice the company at least sure of not getting trapped in any violation of the act.
