01 February 2015 hello,
I have filed TDS return of one government office. but by mistake i haven't download form 16A from tracis for 1 st and 2nd quarter.please provide if panalty under section 272A( 100 Rs per day ) is applicable in this case? is there any solution to avoid such penalty ?what is the maximum amount of penalty in this case? please help in this regards.no notice for such penalty is received yet.

You can apply for condonation for delay in in downloading if you receive any notice till time no need to get panic.

Solution to avoid penalty is to generate file in time to download form 16A.

01 February 2015 Please be advised that under the provisions of section 203 of the Income Tax Act, 1961 read with rule 31A, Certificate of tax deducted at source is to be furnished within fifteen (15) days from the due date for furnishing the statement of tax deducted at source. Failure to comply with the provisions of the Act will attract penalty under the provisions of section 272A of the Act, a sum of one hundred rupees for every day during which the failure continues.

Advice: Download form 16A ASAP. No need to pay any penalty now. If any notice issued you can submit a prayer for condonation of delay.

02 February 2015 you have to download the form ASAPdue totime limit is15 day after the due date of tds return.
if you don't download the forms the you have to pay the file rs. 100/- per day per certificate .
you have to pay when you received the notice.
