I bought a car in May 2024, and TCS (Tax Collected at Source) was deducted at the time of purchase. However, my PAN and Aadhaar were not linked back then.
I linked my Aadhaar with PAN in June 2025, but the TCS amount is still not showing in my Form 26AS.
Is there a time limit for the TCS to reflect in 26AS after linking Aadhaar? If not, what steps can I take to fix this issue?

You have linked your Aadhaar with PAN in June 2025, your PAN should become operative again within approximately 30 days after the linking and payment of any applicable penalty. Once your PAN is operative, the previously deducted TCS should ideally reflect, provided the car dealer reported it correctly. Ask the car dealer to provide you with Form 27D (TCS Certificate). This certificate will show the details of the TCS collected, including your PAN, the amount of TCS, and the date of collection. Inquire if they have filed the TCS return for the period you purchased the car (May 2024) and if the TCS amount was correctly deposited with the government against your PAN.
