21 July 2014 can the expenses incurred by the trust which are incidental to its main objects like repair and maintenance charges, salaries, property taxes etc can be considered as amount spend for charitable purpose.

21 July 2014 Some of the main objects are :-To enhance the physical, moral and spiritual development of human personality, To promote any cause affecting human well-being including the promotion of education, moral, physical or spiritual.

21 July 2014 if for these activities the incidental exp are incurred then ans is yes it may be allowed.

Just wanted to confirm that u stated it may be allowed.. does it mean that it is at the discretion of Assessing office to allow or disallow..

22 July 2014 yes it is at the discretion of ao once u claim it in your books and return and later he finds that it is not incidental to the main objects he can disallow these exp.
