I am not CA. Can I become a Tax Return Practitioner? If yes, what are the requirements and the procedure?

14 April 2014 No specific requirement. You only need very good knowledge of Tax Laws and Rules.

Is there any procedure to get registered as TRP? Earlier IT department provided training to some people to become TRP. In ITR-V there are spaces for entering Identification No of TRP, Name of TRP and for counter signature of TRP

But you can start on your own without registering as TRP. You can file return and appear in scrutiny cases.
