Tax residency certificate

29 October 2013 Respected Sir,

Our client have provided ship management services to its Malaysian party. Now the Malaysian party wants Tax Residency certificate (TRC) From our client in order to avoid double taxation. If TRC is not submitted to them they will deduct tax.
So kindly provide the process of obtaining TRC Certificate, where & to whom it is to be submitted and what are the documents need to be require.

29 October 2013 Rules for Obtaining TRC by Non Resident (NR) . NR has to obtain the
TRC from Government of Country of its Residence; . TRC shall contain
the following details: -
> Name of the assessee;
> Status of the assessee;
> Nationality in case of Individual;
> Assessee's Tax Identification Number;
> Resident status for Tax purpose;
> Period for which TRC is applicable;
> Address of the applicant;


TRC shall be verified by the Government of the Country/territory of its residence.
