Tax on retired bmc employee

My Mother in law was retired BMC Teacher & retired on 29.4.2012 .But she got gratuity & other Retirement Benefits in year 2014-15. Is these benefits are taxable or not ? & If taxable then under which Limit for F.Y 2014-15?
