I have a simple question for renting /hiring out Gen sets ? ( Not transfer the ownership rights) Is it service taxable or not ? Presently we are collecting only VAT from the end user.

Hiring of Machinery is treated as deemed sale under MVAT act. accordingly VAT is liable to charge & not service tax.
