NUMBER OF TAX AUDIT ASSIGNMENTS AN AUDITOR CAN ACCEPT IS 45 NUMBERS. THE CELING WAS INCREASED FROM 30 TO 45 IN THE YEAR 2007.

Number of audit increased to 45 vide ICAI's 268th council meeting dated 30/04/2007.

Also, the limit of 45 does not include
1.Audit of assessee claiming lower profit than what is envisaged in 44AD to 44AE.
2.Audit on requistion by A.o u/s 142(2A).
